Sustained variable high voltage electric field controlled by the controller can be formed on electrode plate inside the tank by adopting intelligent high-voltage power. When emulsion produced in the electric desalting and dehydrating tank, the secondary high voltage transmitted on electrode plate is constantly changing, therefore, the electric field inside the tank also changes over time and so does the electric-field intensity. The electric field strength effect on small water droplets in the emulsion also varies, which resulted a continuous impact on the emulsion, promoting the emulsion breaking and increasing the desalting and dehydrating rate of crude oil. Because the input high-voltage is not a stabilized high constant value, even when there is emulsion in the tank, the working current is not high thus significantly reducing power consumption. The equipment can adjust transformer output high voltage in any range, that is to change the electric field strength in the tank and impact the emulsion to improve the desalting and dehydrating rate of crude oil.
